Corporate Case Study:
Amanda Products
60+ year old auto manufacturing supplier expands into product design.
Creating a product is only the beginning. Your brand experience should be immersive, engaging and memorable. Customers want your services, but they also want to understand your purpose. That’s where we step in. From designing your branding and telling your story to creating marketing strategies and building interactive experiences, we create unforgettable moments.
When Amanda Manufacturing, an Ohio-based original parts supplier, asked us to showcase their product design capabilities, we partnered with them to build a new off-road consumer brand: Amanda Products USA. We started with a logo, website, print materials and packaging, built a thousands-strong following on social media, and moved on to product photography, videography, exhibits and events. It was research, development, brand design and product launch, all wrapped into one.
To introduce Amanda Products USA, we took its innovative SpeedHook™ to The SEMA Show, creating a multi-sensory booth experience that included everything from video introductions to an off-road racing chassis we had custom built for the show by Crossed Up Customs, Artec Industries and Ready4Rocks.
Our brand kickoff was a resounding success, and Amanda left Las Vegas with a SEMA Global Media Award, recognition in CRAWL Magazine and genuine design credibility. This was ultimately our client’s goal, to showcase both their manufacturing chops and their engineering and design capabilities.
We continued building the Amanda Products USA brand by immersing ourselves and our clients in the off-road community, online and in person. We designed and ran a Recovery Station for the company’s appearances at races and off-road enthusiast gatherings – including King of the Hammers, Jeep Beach, Easter Jeep Safari and Cantina for the Con. We continued building buzz, getting the SpeedHook™ named the Official Tow Hook of Area BFE in Moab and sparking international interest for Amanda Products’ innovative suspension concept. We also managed the company’s title sponsorship of Ultra4 race drivers Mike Klensin and John Brock of ColeCar Motorsports.
To support the team and brand promotion, we designed Ultra4 IFS racing vehicle wraps and other sponsorship signage, followed the drivers on social media and brought them to company-wide events. We also produced a blog documenting the team’s personalities and races all over the country, including the Dirt Riot Southwest Series, 4 Wheel Parts Glen Helen Grand Prix, Metalcloak Stampede and King of the Hammers, as well as their first place win at the legendary Polaris RZR Mint 400.
To expand the company’s product lines, we created and led multi-day product ideation sessions with skilled transportation designers, engineers and company executives all having the opportunity to explore and develop one another’s ideas, resulting in mind-blowing Trailhammer doors and bumper designs.
As Amanda Products USA grew, eventually acquiring UniBond Brake in Michigan, so did its parent company. Amanda Manufacturing expanded its facilities, added new manufacturing capabilities, and created new jobs both in Ohio and Michigan.
Building the Amanda Products USA brand from the ground up has been an exciting journey for us. Crafting and delivering a cohesive and unforgettable identity for your business, and finding unique ways to introduce your brand to the world: that’s what we love to do…and we’re good at it.
