This month, M3D CEO Melissa Halpin joined fellow Goldman Sachs 10,ooo Small Businesses program alumni in Washington, D.C. for the 10,000 Small Businesses Summit: The Big Power of Small Business. Melissa discussed ideas for business growth with her business creator peers from around the country and talked about entrepreneurship in Detroit with several of her Cohort 9 classmates, including Rich Chang, The NewFoundry; Maggie Forsythe, Pinnacle Facility Solutions; Pamela Mack of Bricks 4 Kidz Detroit – Huntington Woods – Southfield; Lisa Bower, Plus One Meetings; Janelle Rogers of Green Light Go Publicity; Linda Schlesinger-Wagner, Skinnytees; Pete Garcia of Detroit Piping Group; and Elizabeth Mays, MCS Multimedia.
During the summit, Melissa learned from business leaders, mentors and politicians, including Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group; actor and comedian Tyler Perry, Adam Grant, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania faculty, and Warren Buffet, Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.
